What is Slow Food?

Slow Food is the idea that people see each other differently when they share food — that through the pleasure of the table, there is a route to social change and a path that connects us to each other and to the land and natural environment. It is the opposite of fast food. It’s food that is good for the public, good for farmers and workers, and good for the planet. In other words, food that is good, clean, and fair. It connects people, inspires them, and supports them as leaders in their schools and communities. We believe food is a vehicle for social change. Together, we will work to build power in the movement to transform food and farming.

Enjoy the Winter

Slow Food is back for the Spring!

Enjoy the snow and don't forget to continue to support your local agriculture during the cold months.

It's always a great time of year to start exploring some different food production options in your area.
