About Us
The Hamilton Microfinance Group is a student-run organization established in 2012. The mission of our organization is to increase economic growth and opportunity in the Greater Utica area by providing small business loans to individuals who might not qualify for a traditional bank loan. The benefits are two-fold. Entrepreneurs can utilize these loans to expand and/or develop their businesses. Members of the Group gain experience from the process to make more informed decisions when evaluating business proposals and issuing loans.
The Group understands that successful businesses that bring much positive impact to their surrounding communities often have humble beginnings. We are also aware that each entrepreneur has different aims and thoughts about the direction of their businesses. Regardless of backgrounds, ideas, or ambitions, the Group strives to assist businesses by providing an influx of capital, a catalyst for success.
