Insects are more healthful and less resource intensive than the mammals and birds we grow for food. As a solution to issues of food security and environmental concerns in the face of a fast-growing global poulation, the UN issued a report in 2013 promoting edible insects. Many insects are already eaten regularly by around 2.5 billion people. Reeavulating our diets to include edible insects will be positive for ecology, economy, politics, and health worldwide.
