New Little Pub. Vintage
Pictures Wanted.
Doc (Slick) Monroe '96 (BBT) - Houston, TX Even with our longstanding, outstanding, astounding tradition notwithstanding, the Buffers have never had any sort of organized alumni association. . So, we decided to start one. A couple of recently graduated Buffers, whose names are listed on the last page, have recently named themselves the Pro-Tem Buffer Board of Trustees (BBT). We're hopefully) only filling these seats temporarily. We would like some of the more mature graduates to step forward to take our places soon. Resumes in application may be sent to the address listed on the last page. Please include a brief letter explaining why you would like to be a trustee. (OK, I know it's a little hokey - but hey, I'm a Hamilton College graduate - what do you expect?) The current Board of Trustees, listed below, will review the applications. We'll consult current Buffer officers, and make our decision. The Board will be responsible for organizing, generating, building, and maintaining the Buffer trust fund. The money will be used for the sole purpose of funding concurrent Buffer interests. Lawyers and Financiers would be especially helpful. Please realize that all of the plans are very flexible at this point. We are very open to suggestions that you have. Phone numbers and addresses are all listed on back. Ben (Puddin') Becker '95 (BBT) - Boston, MA Singing on location at the opening night of the Little Pub this spring semester, the Buffers yet again exhibited that they are the first choice for entertainment at Hamilton College. Shortly Following the performance, the Buffers hung a plaque in a discreet, smokey corner of the Pub which reads: This plaque commemorates the Buffers of past, present, and future and hereby proclaims this corner of the Little Pub Most of the walls of the Little Pub are decorated with Outing Club gear. But, the walls of the Pub are open to all campus organizations The Buffers would like to get as many old Buffer photographs as is possible to hang in The Buffer Corner. Also, custom has it that all Buffers entering the Pub make the Corner their first stop. If you have any old pictures, send them to the Buffer address at Hamilton. All of the senior Buffers, whose Bo names are listed at the bottom of the plaque, celebrated the evening by partaking in the fine spirits the Pub has to offer. The celebration reached a high point when the manager of the Pub gave a free round to the soon-to-be graduates. At the end of the evening, only the plaque was left standing. BQ |
