Hamilton Crew Coaches
Eric Summers, HEAD COACH
   
 
  Eric Summers, former head men’s rowing coach at Colgate University, is the new head men’s and women’s crew coach at Hamilton College.

Summers guided the Colgate men’s varsity program for two seasons. His Lightweight 8 boat earned a No. 1 seed in the Champion International Collegiate Regatta (CICR) and the first national ranking in the program’s history. All of Summers’ varsity boats qualified for the 2000 CICR and he helped Colgate to team titles at the 2000 Patriot League and New York State Championships.

 
 
 
       

Summers’ other coaching experiences include: one season as the varsity men’s coach at the University of Miami (Fla.), head coach of the Syracuse Chargers junior men’s competitive rowing program, graduate assistant coach for the Syracuse University women’s program, and an assistant coach at the U.S. Junior Women’s Team East Coast Development Camp and for the Potomac Boat Club Lightweight Men’s Development Center.

The former Colgate men’s crew captain graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from the school in 1991. He earned an MBA from the Syracuse University School of Management in 1997.
