Ashoka U Changemaker designation provides network of opportunities for students

Social entrepreneur network Ashoka U named Hamilton a Changemaker Campus, a designation granted to institutions of higher learning dedicated to social innovation. The Arthur Levitt Public Affairs Center, Community Outreach and Opportunity Program (COOP), and students who took part in the Social Innovation Fellows program all contributed to getting Hamilton recognized by Ashoka. Hamilton students engage with Clinton for Fall Fest

On Sunday, September 28, Hamilton students ventured off the Hill to enjoy the free music, food and crafts of the annual Fall Fest in Clinton. Hamilton students join in People’s Climate March

On Sunday, September 21, more than 45 Hamilton students, alumni, faculty and staff boarded buses, cars, trains and subways to arrive at the corner of 71st St. and Central Park West in New York City to participate in the People’s Climate March. Along with approximately 400,000 fellow marchers, students waited eagerly—with signs, whistles, costumes and posters—so that they could demand action from the United Nations Climate Summit, which took place on Sept. 23. Keith Wellin Hamilton College life trustee and longtime benefactor of the college Keith Wellin ’50, GP ’11, ’14 passed away last Sunday morning, September 14, at the age of 88. Jonathan Vaughan On Sept. 15, President Joan Hinde Stewart announced the passing of James L. Ferguson Professor of Psychology Jonathan Vaughan.
