It is hard to believe that just four years ago there was no Out & Ally List at Hamilton. While the Hill was not necessarily a hostile place in 2010, one cannot ignore the increase in public acceptance for the LGBTQ community that the ever-expanding Out & Ally List has engendered. More ...
Expectations could not have been higher for last Friday’s Sacerdote Great Names lecture. From the moment community members saw the cover of The Spectator’s May 9 issue, which announced that Hillary Clinton would come to Hamilton, the Hill has been abuzz with anticipation for the former First Lady, U.S. Senator and Secretary of State. Awareness of Ms. Clinton’s—yet unconfirmed—2016 presidential ambitions only compounded the excitement. More ...

Moreover, non-Greek students often benefit from the all-campus parties held by the Greeks throughout the school year. More ...

On the one hand, several new items appeared on the menu: the House-Made Pastrami Burger, the Green Chile Tortilla Burger, the Whole Diner Burger, the House-Made Chicken Cutlet, and the HD Shakes. (For reviews of these new items, see page 8.) On the other hand, these new options are not included as part of the College’s Meal Plan, thus costing each student out-of-pocket dollars. More ...

Students have been very vocal about the First-Year Experience Committee’s proposed housing changes and the surrounding debate. Many feel as though they were not included in the conversation about changes to Residential Life’s reorganization of first-years and upperclassmen. They seem to believe that this plan was totally spontaneous, and that the Administration should have done something more to let students know that it was in the works. What, exactly, that something more ought to have been, is unclear. Some students in attendance at Wednesday night’s Student Housing Forum called for increased discussion; others, for easier ways to express their opinions. More ...
