Women’s lacrosse ranked 12th in DIII coaches poll after 6-2 start

Sitting at 6-2 overall and ranked 12th in the latest Division III polls, the women’s lacrosse team is off to a hot start. The team started out the season with a tough 10-9 loss to eighth-ranked Colby on Steuben Field on Mar. 5. Most recently, the team fell to ninth-ranked Amherst 10-6 this past Saturday. Sandwiched in between these two conference losses, the Continentals pulled out a string of six straight wins.  More ...

W. tennis 4-1 over spring break

The women’s tennis team entered the spring season as an emerging threat on the national scale. Completing the fall season with an undefeated record, including three 9-0 victories against Oneonta, Union and Cortland, the Continentals were ranked 19th in the Northeast Region of the ITA Rankings. Softball emerges 7-8 from Florida trip

Long a NESCAC afterthought, the Hamilton softball program entered the season on the verge of a historic breakthrough.  The Continentals opened the 2016 campaign with a Florida road trip, playing 15 games against non-conference competition over spring break.  Weathering an uneven 10-day stretch, Hamilton ultimately left Florida with a 7-8 record, giving the team important reps before the pivotal conference schedule commences. Tennis teams begin spring seasons this weekend vs. Middlebury

After a short fall season which included four matches for the women and five for the men, the Hamilton tennis teams are ready to begin their longer spring campaigns.  Spring is the primary season for the tennis squads, and each team will play a 17-match slate, beginning this weekend and extending through the final week of April. W. lacrosse pursues consecutive appearances at national championship

Hamilton’s varsity women’s lacrosse team looks forward to a season of strong competition and hard-earned success in spring 2016.  Since joining the NESCAC, Hamilton has shown a commanding presence in one of the most competitive collegiate conferences in the sport.  The spirited competition succeeds from season to season and 2016 is no exception.  Hamilton is ready to meet and exceed expectations on the field.  The team is confident that their pre-season preparation will start them off with momentum and carry them through to another appearance in the NCAA championships. M. hockey falls to Middlebury in OT in home playoff contest

Hamilton College’s men’s hockey season came to a heartbreaking conclusion on Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the NESCAC Championship. At 7:21 into overtime, the fifth-seeded Middlebury Panthers scored the winning goal to upset the fourth-seeded Continentals 2-1 and move on to the conference’s semifinals. Baseball opens season Mar. 12

In the 2015 season, the Hamilton baseball team went 16-14 and posted its first winning record since 1990. The 16 wins included four wins out of 12 games played in the NESCAC, good enough for a tie for third place in the NESCAC West division with Williams. This year’s team looks to build on last year’s success.  More ...
