Show Profile: Jah Radio

Friday’s, 11 p.m.
with DJ’s Mad Matt, Jah Trom and Di Natti Lyon

Sounds like:

An exploration of the genre of reggae and all of it’s influences. Music will range from roots reggae such as Bob Marley, to dancehall artists such as Buju Banton. We also enjoy the occasional conversation of Rastafarian culture. Such conversation involves discussion of the concepts of Babylon versus Zion, the meaning of Jah, or even the way we can use reggae to heal and empower.

Expect to hear:

Greatness. Roots reggae, dancehall, reggae hip-hop fusion, european reggae, ska, dub, dubstep (has roots in reggae) and everything in-between.

What song do you love (or love to hate) in the Diner Jukebox?

Well now that they updated the jukebox anything by Damian Marley is awesome. If it’s in the top 50 songs of the past few months I probably don’t know it.

This song goes out to…
