What is Mock Trial?
Mock Trial is a competitive intercollegiate trial simulation team. Each fall we receive a hypothetical case from the American Mock Trial Association that contains witness affidavits as well as pieces of evidence (e.g, text message records). We develop a theory for both the prosecution and defense to present to a jury. Students take on roles as attorneys and witnesses. Then students compete against other schools (i.e, Hamilton's Prosecution against Colgate's Defense) and attorneys and judges rate our performance.
