Entering his eigth year as head coach of the Hamilton men's cross
country and track and field teams, Brett Hull has established a solid
program in both sports.
In seven years, Hull has head numerous athletes receive honors at
the conference, state, regional and national honors. While known for
its success in cross country, Hamilton has seen much success in track
and field in recent years under Hull's guidance. Over the past four
seasons, the team has posted a 32-6-1 dual meet record and has
regularly sent athletes to both the New York State Collegiate and ECAC
Championships. In 1998, Hull tudored the indoor and outdoor state
champion in the shot put and had athletes voted the "Outstanding Field
Events Performer" at the UCAA and NYSCTC Championships.
Prior to arriving at Hamilton, Hull was the head cross country
and track and field coach at SUNY Cortland and SUNY Plattsburgh. He
was named the SUNYAC Coach of the Year in 1985-86 while at Cortland.
Overall, he has developed 14 All-Americans as well as a national-
champion 1500-meter runner.
The recipient of bachelor's and master's degrees from Frostburg
State University (MD), Hull is also an associate professor in
Hamilton's physical education department. He resides in New Hartford,
NY, with his wife, Ellen, and their daughters, Emily and Juliet.

HEAD COACH:
Ellen Hull enters her sixth season as head coach of Hamilton's
women's cross country and track & field programs in fine fashion. Her
1997 cross country team finished 6th place at the NCAA Div III
regional championship and were also named to the NCAA Coaches
Association All-Academic team. In 1995, the team qualified for the
NCAA Championships for the first time in the school's history.
She has brought the program's dual meet record to 37-5 in the
past five years. Her coaching success in cross country has
transferred to the track & field program where her athletes broke 8
school record in 1998, bringing the total to 23 since taking the helm.
In 1998, she tutored the 5000m state champion and in 1996 the indoor
and outdoor 800m champion.
Hull received her bachelor's degree form Plattsburgh State and
her master's from Ithaca College. Prior to arriving at Hamilton, she
was an assistant coach at both those schools and head coach for men's
and women's track & field at SUNY Morrisville. She was recently re-
elected president of the men's and women's NYSCTC for cross country
and track. An accredited Level II USA Track & Field Coach, she
resides in New Hartford, NY with her husband Brett and their
daughters, Emily and Juliet.
